RESIDENTIAL PLUMBING INSPECTION INCLUDES:

  • Pre-Inspection Coordination:

    Homeowner provides access to all areas where plumbing is located. Any known issues or concerns are discussed beforehand.

  • Visual Inspection

    • External Faucets:

      Check for leaks, rust, or signs of wear on parts or connections.

    • Water Heater:

      Check for leaks, rust, or signs of wear on tanks or connections. Inspect pressure relief valve for functionality. Examine the age and condition of the unit.

    • Faucets and Fixtures:

      Test all sinks, showers, and bathtubs for leaks. Check for adequate water flow and pressure. Look for signs of mineral buildup or corrosion.
      Toilets: Check for leaks at the base, tank, and water supply lines. Test for proper flushing and refill functionality.
      Inspect flappers and fill valves.

    • Toilets:

    • Drains:

      Inspect under sinks and around floor drains for signs of leaks or clogs. Check for slow drainage which might indicate blockages.

    • Pipes:

      Inspect visible pipes for signs of leaks, corrosion, or improper joint connections. Verify that pipes are securely mounted and not showing excessive wear or movement.

    • Operational Checks:
      • Run water through all systems to check for pressure issues or leaks.
      • Flush toilets multiple times to ensure proper operation.
      • Operate all valves to ensure they turn off water supply correctly, including the “main valve” for the home. Ensuring this “safety net” is operational. **Valves will be labeled on initial inspection
      • Ventilation and Gas Lines (if applicable).
      • Check that plumbing vents are properly installed and not blocked.
      • Inspect gas line connections for leaks using a soap solution or gas detector if qualified.
      • Water Pressure and Quality test.
  • Documentation:

    Record all findings, with photos if necessary.
    Provide a report detailing current conditions, potential issues, and any recommendations for maintenance or repair.

  • Post-Inspection Advice:

    Discuss with the homeowner any immediate concerns or long-term maintenance strategies.
    Offer advice on upgrades or modernization if the system is old or inefficient.

This inspection ensures the plumbing system is functioning correctly and helps in identifying any issues before they become major problems.

Terms of Coverage

AP Plumbing will stand behind the work that we perform pursuant to the terms of the Maintenance Agreement ("Agreement"). We will listen when there isa concern, and we will respond in a timely manner. If a concern were to develop, all we ask is that you (the "Customer") contact us right away and give us an opportunity to resolve the concern. We will endeavor to render prompt and efficient service, but it is expressly agreed that AP Plumbing shall in no event be liable for damage or loss caused by delay or any loss arising out of the performance of this Agreement.

The initial coverage period is for twenty-four (24) consecutive months. At the end of the twenty-four (24) consecutive months, the Agreement will continue on a monthly basis until a request to cancel from theCustomer is received in writing by "AP Plumbing" at 1195 Ridgeway Ave, Rochester,NY 14615 or e-mailed to jason@applumbing.com. Any canceled Agreement or credit card number that is no longer valid(which effectively terminates the Agreement) will be subject to repayment of maintenance and/or discounts received. This repayment will be based on a rolling twelve-month calendar.

REPLACEMENT of an entire unit is not covered.
-   Electrical service from breaker to unit
-  Venting materials
-   Duct/venting systems
-   Gas leaks
-   Radiators
-   Water and gas leaks, system component upgrades, and after-hours vendor charges are not covered.

No coverage on pipe castings, boiler sections, outdoor reset, mixing valves, mechanical feeders, or any connecting plumbing or other accessory not integral to the electrical control system.
Calls resulting from fuel delivery problems, or to replace dirty filters, balance individual room temperatures, bleed air from hot water systems, or repair to radiators, are not covered. Filters, humidifiers, air cleaners and other accessories not an integral part of the furnace or air conditioner are not covered.

1. Equipment must be accessible.
2. You must make a reasonable effort to accommodate scheduling of maintenance visits.
3. Keep AP Plumbing aware of any changes to your credit/debit card or checking information for monthly drafts.

AP Plumbing reserves the right to reject any agreement if, on inspection by our service person, equipment is found in such condition that service will be unsatisfactory to either party. Preexisting conditions must be repaired or replaced before the contract shall go into effect. No service will be rendered under this agreement if a customer has a past due account. AP Plumbing. reserves the right to cancel any agreement without notice and refund unused portion of Agreement.

WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TOMAKE ALL SERVICE CALLS DURING REGULAR WORKING HOURS

This Agreement is hereby acknowledged and accepted and shall be in effect upon receipt of payment for the stated twenty-four-month (24) period. This Agreement will be automatically renewed at the end of the twenty-four-month (24) period and shall continue ona monthly basis until and unless written notice of termination is received by the Customer per theTerms andConditions set forth herein. The Agreement is nontransferable, and no amount is refundable.

A 2% PER MONTH SERVICE CHARGE WILL BE APPLIED TO ALL BALANCES PAST DUE.

By submitting your check, you are authorizing AP Plumbing to use information on your check to make an electronic debit to your bank account at the financial institution listed on your check. The electronic debit will be for the amount of your check; no additional amount will be added to the transaction. If we cannot collect your electronic payment, we will issue a draft against your account.
Contact our Billing Dept. at 585-546-1400 for payment options if you prefer not to have your check used this way.

By providing your credit card, debit card, or bank account information to AP Plumbing for payment of the monthly fee for theAgreement as noted on Page 1, you hereby authorize AP Plumbing to charge your credit/debit card or bank account in equal monthly payment installments, with zero interest. The monthly charge to your credit/debit card or bank account shall continue until and unless the Agreement is terminated, in writing, by either AP Plumbing or the Customer.

All exclusions include a 15% discount. Exclusions include main sewer line, underground work, fixture replacement, hose bibs due to freezing, and well work.
